In October 2008, Troy Ford, Chairman of the SAD Board, sent the following letter to the Colfax County Commissioners. A similar letter was sent to the State Police, Colfax County Sheriffs, Fire Chiefs and other first responders. The letter was sent because of the realization that the roads within Taos Pines Ranch had reached a dangerous state of disrepair and that possible accidents could occur as a result of these conditions. The SAD has written a letter questioning any liability to forestall any lawsuit that might occur because of the poor condition of the roads. The SAD Board felt it should do whatever possible to protect Taos Pines owners. This is only the first step. The SAD Board will continue to work towards getting our roads repaired and brought back to a safer level.
