Taos Pines Ranch Property Owners Association
(TPR POA)

TPR POA provides an opportunity for landowners to work together to improve Taos Pines Ranch and to give property owners strength to accomplish goals that would be difficult to obtain as individual property owners. With TPR property owners worldwide, this website is the POA's window to the world. TPR POA hopes you will find the information helpful.

TPR POA functions under the leadership of a Board of Directors and its elected officers. The Board President appoints a Director to sit on each of the standing committees of the Board. Each committee has a unique function to enhance the community life at Taos Pines Ranch. TPR POA's over arching goal is to maintain a high standard of living within TPR and the local communities while protecting the urban wildland interface.

The TPR POA also maintains an interactive community website where  owners can communicate with each other and the board, upload photos and videos, create interest groups, and leave messages and comments.  This site is by invitation only. If you are a TPR property owner and would like to participate, please contact the Board Secretary (see below for email link.)
Property owners volunteer their time and efforts to clean up slash and fallen wood during one of the "Chipper Days" in the Taos Pines community.

For the past 18 years Moreno Valley and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains have been one of our favorite vacation spots for summer and winter sports. In September, 2008 we bought the log home on the lower road [across the meadow from the vet], Lot 82. We have been here the majority of the time since then. After making contact with neighbors thorough the website, and finally face to face, we have come to realize the TPR community is made up of diverse and warm folks.
After 18 years on clinical faculty in the Departments of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences I joined my husband Harley in retirement. We have a large farm in north central Arkansas on the South Fork of the Spring River - thus my passion for kayaking. I also spend alot of time perfecting my photography skills.
Our son, Brant, and his family are in Phoenix and  love having us closer for both summer and winter vacations. Our granddaughter, Lauren, age 6, recently spent her first "alone" vacation on the mountain - such a great place for adventures with children!  As a new Board Member I look forward to continuing the great works of past board members and exploring new and creative ways to improve TPR.

Roz Garland, Secretary, and Chairman of Community and Public Relations Committee
We have been in our home in Taos Pines for two years this coming November.  We lived onsite for a year while our house was being built, which was originally supposed to be a "vacation home." We obviously fell in love with the area and now make Taos Pines our full-time home, having just sold our residential property in Texas.  I am working in our family Technology business with my husband, Henry and our son, Brad who is the current CEO.  Our daughter, Jenna is a high school teacher in the Crowley ISD, south of Ft. Worth, Tx. My past experience has been in the music education field for 20+ years as a teacher, and a professional musician in the Dallas area.  I also worked as a graphic designer and communications specialist for a large church in Texas, and now as a consultant and administrative person in The Garland Group.
We enjoy having family members (especially our 2 grand-daughters!)  and friends join us for visits to Taos Pines, and love having access to winter sports, summer activities, and lots of wildlife and beautiful scenery.  And of course, the cooler climate!  Taos Pines is our home, and we enjoy getting to know our neighbors and participating in the activities of the TPR POA. I am looking forward to helping our members communicate more effectively  and  to help promote Taos Pines Ranch as the best place to live in the Angel Fire area.
Meet Your Board of Directors!
Doug Connor, President and Chairman of Roads Committee

Doug has been a homeowner and resident of Taos Pines since June 2007.   Along with his wife Elaine and son Austin, Doug lives on the middle road, lot 20.   When they are not in Taos Pines, Doug and his family can be found at their other home in Frisco, Texas.    Doug was elected to the POA Board of Directors in 2008 and served as Vice President, until his election to the office of President in July 2009.   Doug is currently an executive with a large software firm, SAP Americas.    Prior to this, Doug has held management and executive positions in the software industry, management consultant companies, and in semiconductor manufacturing.   He is an avid outdoorsman, golfer, skier and runner.  Doug is involved with several community service organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement and his local church.    Like most of us, Doug is passionate about Taos Pines,  both for what it is today and for what it will someday become.
Diana Johnson, Vice-President and Treasurer
I have been happy (and very busy) serving as Secretary/Treasurer since the Association formed in May, 2000. I will currently serve another 2-year term as Treasurer. My husband, J M, and I built and moved into our home on the lower road in May, 2000, as full-time residents. We recently purchased a house in Carrollton, Texas, and now share our time between the two residences. During my career days I worked as Administrative Assistant & Apprentice Coordinator for the Independent Electrical Contractors Association in Dallas and was elected to the Red River Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors where I served as Secretary for six years. We owned Terrace Towers Lodge in Red River, New Mexico, for many years. We love the many friends we have made in Taos Pines Ranch and always look forward to the time we spend there.
